Terms of Service
Effective date: August 13, 2026
These terms govern your use of the CloudShots app and this website ("CloudShots," "the App") on iOS, macOS, and watchOS, provided by CloudShots ("we," "us").
Acceptance of terms
By downloading, installing, or using CloudShots, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
License
Subject to these terms and the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to download and use CloudShots on Apple devices you own or control, for your personal, non-commercial use.
CloudShots Pro purchases
CloudShots is free to use, with an optional CloudShots Pro upgrade offered as a weekly auto-renewing subscription ($0.99), a yearly auto-renewing subscription ($9.99, with a 1-week free trial for eligible users), or a one-time lifetime purchase ($24.99). All purchases are billed and processed by Apple through the App Store and StoreKit.
TestFlight builds automatically unlock CloudShots Pro for beta testing. No purchase is required and no purchase is charged. Prices, availability, taxes, trial eligibility, and renewal terms vary by region and are controlled by Apple.
Free and Pro both sync screenshot records and image assets through your private iCloud across Mac, iPhone, iPad, and Apple Watch. Free grants access to the 30 most recent screenshots; older synchronized screenshots remain saved but visibly locked and unavailable for opening, sharing, or exporting, and are never deleted to enforce that limit. Free and Pro alike can set a configurable library limit — 1,000 screenshots by default, adjustable from 200 up to its top position of Unlimited, and the only setting under which CloudShots removes its own oldest copies (aside from the automatic 30-day Trash purge). Pro opens the full synchronized history and adds safe Photos and Mac cleanup. Lowering the library limit is destructive: after you confirm, CloudShots permanently deletes the oldest screenshots beyond the new limit from its own library and from its iCloud on every signed-in device, and the deletion cannot be undone. Raising the limit, Unlimited included, deletes nothing. Your Photos library is not affected.
On Free and Pro alike, CloudShots can create a public, read-only iCloud link for a screenshot that has already synchronized, or the owner can invite specific people to view or edit it through Apple's own sharing interface. Anyone holding a read-only link can view that screenshot, so share a link only with people you intend to give access to. A participant invited with edit access can annotate, crop, and redact that screenshot, and their changes sync back to the owner's iCloud; if the owner later revokes edit access, that participant can no longer edit. Before an edited screenshot is shared by iCloud link, invited collaboration, or file export, its edits and redactions are baked into the shared image. If that image cannot be prepared safely, sharing fails instead of sending the unredacted original.
- Weekly and yearly subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the current period ends.
- You can manage or cancel a subscription, and view trial eligibility, at any time in your App Store account settings on your Apple device.
- The lifetime purchase is a one-time payment and does not renew.
- Prices, trial eligibility, and availability vary by region and are set by Apple.
- Refunds are handled by Apple under its own refund policies; we do not process refunds directly.
Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse CloudShots, including by reverse engineering, redistributing, or reselling the App, attempting to circumvent purchase or licensing mechanisms, or using the App for any unlawful purpose.
Diagnostics and privacy
CloudShots collects crash, hang, performance, error, and feature-usage diagnostics through Sentry, PostHog, and Apple MetricKit to maintain and improve the App. These reports use a random installation identifier and never contain screenshot pixels, recognized text, tags, names, summaries, annotations, advertising identifiers, or cross-app tracking data. App Store builds collect them by default; onboarding shows that choice, and you can turn collection off at any time in Settings. The complete collection and retention details are in our Privacy Policy.
Intellectual property
CloudShots, its design, and its underlying software are owned by us and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Nothing in these terms transfers any ownership rights to you.
Disclaimer of warranties
CloudShots is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, arising out of or related to your use of CloudShots.
Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to CloudShots if you violate these terms. You may stop using CloudShots and delete it from your devices at any time.
Governing terms
CloudShots is distributed exclusively through the Apple App Store, and your use of the App is also subject to the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions and the App Store's Licensed Application End User License Agreement. Where these terms are silent, Apple's terms govern.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. We will update the effective date above when we do. Continued use of CloudShots after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
